Day 71: After The Storm
My picture today, if you can't quite make it out, is of fog. Actually you see the light more than the fog in front of it, but it's the best I could do with my phone.
It started raining yesterday around 4:00. As the night progressed the rain became harder and steady. It did not let up, it kept raining straight through around 3:00 today. Our land around here was parched and in very high need for rain. The rain is the left over tropical storm Hermine that came inland in Texas and made its way to here. It is too late for the farmers as their crops are already being harvested because of the hot and dry conditions through the summer.
All that is left now is a refreshed ground and the fog. Looking out into the foggy night, your vision is very much shortened. One thing that is very obvious is the way the fog disperses any light around it. It magnifies the light source and brightens the surroundings a bunch in the lights vicinity. That is how Christians should be. We should be able to soak up the light of Christ and not only reflect it, but magnify it. The days are dark, but that is just more opportunity to live Christ centered life. Cast our worries upon Him and follow His Word. He has promised to take care of us, so just disperse His Light all around you and don't worry about what happens next. He is faithful.
