A Year In My Life Through Pictures Day 17

Not quite sure what the connection between Burger King and Twilight is, but there's got to be one. Maybe the new movie has a scene that takes place in one of the restaurants or something. Oh, wait I have it now, greed is the reason.

What other reason would a successful restaurant chain have to promote such a ungodly movie/ book franchise? Oh wait, they do it all the time and most of the time they push the questionable movies on small children through their kids meals. Just another way society is being desensitized to the evilness of the world.

American really needs prayer in this area. That some morality will return and our children will stop being brainwashed into thinking all things are acceptable. It is somewhat our fault as parents to not shelter our children more than we do. We should not allow the filth of movies and video games o permeate our upcoming generations.

The enemy described as a lion in 1 Peter 5:8 is seeking who he will devour. Look at nature, what does the predator target first? The young and the weak. This is also very true with the spiritual predators. Why aren't we vigilant in protecting our young? Why do we throw them into the lions den ourselves sometime? We pay for their clothing, we buy their video games, we pay for the cable TV they sit and watch, we pay for the internet that holds so many dangers. The lion is the same as it ha always been, his hunting methods have just changed.

Join me in prayer of protection for our kids. That we, as parents, will lead a holy life for our children to emulate instead of them emulating movies and TV. Pray that we stay vigilant in our upbringing of our kids and that we are always aware of what they are consuming. We must be broken for our children, one thing I am not enough of. Are you?
